Sponsored Walk Raises Over £5,000 as Burscough FC Comes Together in Unforgettable Show of Unity

Over 150 players, families, coaches, volunteers and supporters came together for our Sponsored Walk, raising an incredible £5,000+ for the club — a day that will live long in the memory of everyone involved.

From the bottom of our hearts, we want to say thank you to every single person who played a part. To every child who walked, every parent who supported, every coach, volunteer, family member, pet and supporter who gave up their time — you were all incredible.

The 10-mile journey from Southport to Burscough FC was more than just a walk. It was a powerful reminder of what makes this club so special. As a sea of green made its way into the ground, the atmosphere was unforgettable — flags flying, drums beating, smiles everywhere and a real sense of pride running through the entire group.

This wasn't just about raising money. It was about creating memories for our children, bringing our football family closer together and showing our wider community exactly what One Club, One Community truly means.

The effort shown by everyone — whether you completed the full route, joined along the way, donated, encouraged others or simply came to support — has been nothing short of outstanding.

We were then able to round off the day in perfect fashion, cheering on our First Team as they kicked off their season with a fantastic win over Prestwich Heys, in front of a crowd full of energy and pride carried all the way from the walk.

Days like this don't happen without amazing people, and we're incredibly lucky to have the volunteers, coaches, parents and supporters that make this club what it is.
