"I'm incredibly excited to be part of the first ever Burscough FC Football & Education Programme and to welcome our inaugural group of players this September.

We have a fantastic group of talented young players joining us, and from what I've seen already, there is a real mixture of ability, ambition and character within the group. I'm looking forward to getting to know each of the lads, helping them develop both on and off the pitch, and creating an environment where they can really thrive.

Our aim is to provide the players with a genuine pathway in football while also ensuring they receive a high-quality education and develop the skills, attitude and professionalism required to progress in the game.

This is the beginning of something really exciting for Burscough FC, and I'm incredibly proud to be leading the programme. I can't wait to get started and see what this group can achieve together over the coming years."

"As our Academy gets ready to officially begin, I don't think I can put into words just how proud I am to see this become a reality.

This has been one of the biggest projects we've taken on at Burscough Football Club. There have been long days, late nights, setbacks, meetings, phone calls and plenty of moments where it felt like there was still a mountain to climb. But we've done it.

To see young players coming through the doors of Burscough FC to begin their full-time football and education journey is a massive achievement for this football club.

When we started putting the plans together, the vision was simple — we wanted to create something that gave local young people a genuine opportunity. An education. A football pathway. A place to develop. And something they can be proud to be part of.

This isn't just about building an Academy. It's about building the future of Burscough Football Club. We want to develop our own players, give young people opportunities, and create a pathway where one day we can watch lads come through our Academy and pull on that First Team shirt.

A huge amount of hard work has gone on behind the scenes to make this happen, and seeing it finally come together makes every bit of that work worthwhile. There is still so much more we want to achieve, but this feels like another huge step forward for our club.
